instead, wanda lifts her hand and hovers it over his. it's all for show and isn't needed at all, but wanda enjoys being dramatic at times. wiggling her fingers, little threads of red magic pour from her fingertips. a stein of beer gently appears in his hand, feeling cool and sweaty from its condensation. ]

( hey, it'd be a good joke, wouldn't it? fill his hand with beer to make him regret being a smartass? but, she doesn't do that and he watches as a stein appears in his hand.

he peers down into it, watching the liquid fill it. that's all well and good but now that he's said this and bullshitted her about what type of drink he wanted, he knows he's going to have to drink it. )

That better not just be water.

[ it's a drink that tastes of pomegranates and cinnamon. whether that tastes good together is up to the mixologist. the liquid has a tinge of an ocean blue and even shimmers as if it's the water's surface beneath a wide sun and clear day.

she crosses her arms against her chest and smiles a little too cheekily at him. ]

Drink, come on. You must be thirsty.

Wow.

( so, that's a thing that she really did. he laughs and brings it up to sniff. it doesn't smell too bad. spicy, definitely, but not bad. )

That's definitely a blue drink. Nice job.

( he's not avoiding. )

[ she smiles smugly. ]

[ she cocks her brow, watching him proudly. ]

( amos tips the stein back and takes a drink. it's definitely strong and there's a kick and it's...

yeah, it's terrible. )

[ it's fake, it's fine. wanda happily watches amos drink his words. did he think she wouldn't be able to concoct something she has never seen before?

she honestly didn't believe she could do it.

she smiles at him. ]

Now, can you please just get me a regular beer before this stuff makes me puke?

[ wanda laughs and with a sharp click of her fingers, his blue alien drink turns into a stein of beer. his favourite—whatever that happens to be. it froths and the glass sweats. ]

It's proper beer.

[ because he thinks to ask if it is. ]

( yes, he's impressed but he wants to be able to drink what she's made. )

[ with a purse to her lips, wanda gives it only a moment of thought. and then she holds out her hand and materialises a margarita glass in a swirl of red between her fingers. ]

Do they have margaritas in space?

[ or are they allergic to salty drinks? ]

They might.

( amos shrugs. they had a lot of shit in space that he didn't pay much attention to. )

It's not really my type of drink. Too sweet.

( and colorful. )

But you like alien drinks instead.

[ made up alien drinks, may she add! she takes a sip of her margarita and pulls a face. it's definitely sweet, but it's a nice reminder that she's still here and she can make a mean margarita with the click of her fingers. ]

Why the colour blue? Is it your favourite colour?

( amos shrugs. )

I could take it or leave it. I don't know if I'd call it my favorite color but it's a good color.

( and it sounded cool for an alien drink. )

Though it would seem more alien than anything else.

I always thought an alien colour would be green. That's how they always were in the vending machine in Toy Story.

[ wanda's face brightens. oh, he's going to learn what a toy story is whether he likes it or not.

( he does mean that even if it wasn't his fault. he had no idea what deerington chose to bring and chose to leave behind. )

It was going well while we were working on it.

[ it was, which is why wanda had chosen to invite him over. she thinks that she can bring it back. and if she brings it back, she wants to be able to work on it straight away, get him to check it and make sure it's not missing anything vital that he remembers it having.

she's not a mechanic. she's a creator. she needs amos to help her ensure she hasn't fucked this up, too. ]

[ that had been the car she had wanted when she had appeared in deerington. it's the car that she's been learning how to fix and build. while a car is merely a car, she likes the one she had. ]
